The next day we continued south on 17 to Wrens where we picked up Rt 221 heading south until it intersected with Rt 441 in Douglas. From there we simply retraced our route home on 441. It was a hot, long 400+ mile day and we were pretty whipped when we pulled into the driveway. But what fun we had!
We rode over 1600 miles and enjoyed some of the most challenging roads in the Southeast. Courtney can proudly say that she rode GA Rt 60, the Cherohala, the Dragon, the Foothills Parkway, through the Smoky Mountains National Park and a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I’m pretty sure that I’ve got a future IBA member here and I am looking forward to many, many trips together in the future.
